Jo Manning-Souza

Jo Francine Manning-Souza has received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from The Boston

Conservatory of Music. She holds certification in volumes One to Ten of the Suzuki Method as

well as Orff for General Music. She is also certified in grades Pre-K-12 and has taught at all

levels in the public school and college. Her students have won awards at Disney World, Six

Flags, and at the Junior and Senior Districts and SEMSBA Festivals. In 2010, Ms. Manning-

Souza received the Extraordinary Dedication and Achievement for having two students perform

in the A-Muse The World Young Promise International Music Competition. In 2013 and 2014,

she had six students win first and second prize at the International Young Mozart's Competition

at Carnegie Hall. Ms. Manning-Souza also has a Master's Degree in Music Therapy and is a

member of the American Music Therapy Association. Ms. Manning-Souza is an actively

performing artist and is a member of the Lucky Quartet, the first violin section of the Wellesley

Symphony Orchestra and is a soloist of St. Mary's Music Ministry in Mansfield. Ms. Manning-

Souza has performed at prestigious concert halls such as Boston Symphony Hall, Lincoln

Center, Carnegie Hall. and the Esplanade.
